EFS Tutorial: How to Create an Encrypted Drive

EFS is a free software that is able to create encrypted virtual drives, which can be stored on your hard drive, using any removable media, such as flash drives, removable hard drives, USB sticks, and so on. This way you can encrypt your important files and folders and store them on the physical hard drive, making it protected and impossible for unauthorized persons to access and retrieve the information stored on them.
For example, you can use EFS to store sensitive information such as your credit card details, passwords, identification numbers and any other kind of data that you may consider confidential.
There are many reasons to encrypt your data and create a virtual drive, but one of the most common is to keep the contents of the drive secure from anyone who may try to access the data contained within. So, if you are a regular user, you can also use EFS to ensure that your most sensitive files are secured by encrypting them and storing them on the physical hard drive.
